Powerlifter Malik Triolet Sets World Record Total of 705 Kilograms at Age 17

On Feb. 13, 2021, 17-year-old French powerlifter Malik Bernoussi Triolet set a world record total of 705 kilograms (1,554.3 pounds) in the 82.5-kilogram weight class of the teen 16-17 division at the Fédération Française de Force (FFForce) Test Match Eleiko. Also competing at the event were the 2019 European Powerlifting Federation (EPF) European Classic Championships winners of the 63-kilogram and 52-kilogram classes, Prescillia Bavoil and Noémie Allabert, respectively.

Here are Bernoussi’s stats from the event at a bodyweight of 82.3 kilograms, all of which were new competition PRs:

  • Squat — 247.5 kilograms (545.6 pounds)
  • Bench Press — 172.5 kilograms (380.3 pounds)
  • Deadlift — 285 kilograms (628.3 pounds)
  • Total — 705 kilograms (1,554.3 pounds)
